Planning to attend the Helensburgh and Lomond Highland Games? Here are some answers to our most asked questions.
You can buy tickets at the gate using a card or cash. However, purchasing online might save you from longer queues. https://www.ticketebo.co.uk/helensburgh-and-lomond-highland-games/h-lhg-2025 If you want to leave and come back, keep your wristband on to show you’ve already paid. Then, you can leave the Games field and return without paying again.
There is no parking at the games, and nearby streets are for access only. We recommend parking at the pier car park and using the free bus service.
It can take about a 20-minutes to walk from the train station. The good news is that there is a free shuttle bus which runs every 15 minutes from the pier car park (2 minutes from the train station) to the Games grounds. This bus service runs from 10 am to 4:45 pm.
Accessible access to the Highland Games. The field is relatively flat with no pathways, so accessibility can depend on an individual's mobility and weather. If the weather has been dry, the ground should be firm enough for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. A carer accompanying a disabled adult can get access to the highland games with a concession ticket. Please mention the carer’s concession ticket at the entrance tent when buying your tickets. Now, what about disabled parking? There are limited disabled bays for blue-badged parking available at Lomond School Sports Hall. This is on a first-come, first-served basis.
